The service will go for around 75 minutes and will include prayer, singing, testimonies, an opportunity to donate to the ministry, an encouraging message and be followed by supper.

Ministers and leaders of the local Christian churches are invited to a half-day retreat on Thursday 21 September. We hope you and your leadership team can join us as we spend some time together reflecting, reviewing and growing our relationships with God and one another.

Each year as the school year resumes Christian churches in the Holroyd area gather on a Sunday night to celebrate our combined churches SRE ministry into the local schools and to pray for the year ahead, specifically commissioning the SRE coordinators and the volunteer teachers alongside them. We hope that you and others from your church will be able to join us for our 2022 service:

Peter Blayney and Helen Cunningham have offered to host this year’s wind-up event at Guildford Catholic Presbytery, 30 Calliope St (maximum 24 people). This will include a retirement farewell for Bob and Anne Dennis, who will be moving back “home” to Blackheath.

On Thursday 16th September, the Holroyd Christian Ministers’ Fellowship is holding a mini-retreat open to all Christian ministers and leaders. Due to current restrictions we will be meeting over ZOOM. Our theme for this year is “Forging Godly relationships”. Aaron Terry from Holroyd New Life Church will be facilitating our time together and there will be plenty of opportunities to share together and for personal reflection.

We hope you and others from your church or ministry leadership team can join us from 10am to noon. There is no charge for this retreat.

Join us for a combined churches service celebrating Pentecost. Starts 6pm at Holroyd New Life Church in the Greystanes Community Centre. Maria Matherson is our guest speaker.

You're invited to join with SRE volunteers and supporters from Christian churches across Holroyd to: celebrate SRE; commission the SRE coordinators; pray for the schools, staff, students and volunteer SRE teachers; and be encouraged by Ben Hura (Young Life Parramatta).

Due to a COVID restrictions it is essential that you pre-book your attendance on Eventbrite. No need to bring your ticket on the night but please be prepared to follow the COVID protocols of Guildford Catholic Church when you arrive.

It is customary for the HCMF to hold a Christmas dinner in early December each year. This is often held in one of the homes of our members. Due to Covid-19 restrictions about how many guests can gather in a home and how food may be served, we have decided to hold the 2020 Christmas dinner at the Coolibah Hotel in Sherwood Road, Merrylands West on Monday 7th December, with a 6:30pm arrival for a 7pm dinner. The Hotel has in place a Covid-19 safety plan and they have allocated us a space to use exclusively under their outdoor verandah. This area can accommodate 37 persons based on the outdoor dining 2m-sqr per person rule, however under current protocols only 30 people are allowed to dine together in a group. Keeping this in mind it will be necessary to register your attendance with Michelle Burns at the HCMF office by Wednesday 2nd December. Your spouse is also most welcome to attend with you.

Dear Friends and Supporters of the Holroyd Community Prayer Dinner,

Thank you for your support of the 43rd dinner which was to be held on Tuesday 28th August 2020.

Regrettably the dinner is cancelled for this year.  Merrylands RSL has cancelled all functions in the light of increasing positive COVID-19 cases in restaurants and clubs.

Although we have already received many bookings, at this point in time no payments for tickets have been received by the Holroyd Christian Ministers’ Fellowship. If you have made a payment to your local church or community organisation we suggest you seek a refund from them.

The 43rd dinner will now be planned for Tuesday 31 August 2021, when we hope to again be able
to gather and pray for our community and nation. We look forward to your company then.

C3 Merrylands (meets in the Holroyd Centre) Christmas Spectacular, Sunday 15th December, 7pm, Christmas Carols, Free Food, Message of Hope and Game Show. 

Toongabbie Baptist Church Saturday 14th December: Picnic and free entertainment from 5:oo pm and Christmas Carols from 7:30pm. PLUS Christmas Eve service with Coffee and Dessert from 7pm on Tuesday 24th December; AND Christmas Day service from 9am.
